A Brief History of Smoking Cigarettes is a one-woman show that traces Deanna's personal relationship with cigarettes alongside the global history of tobacco. Using puppets, live music, and video, the performance weaves together true stories, audience interaction, and wide-ranging reflections on how the tobacco industry shaped the world and influenced Deanna's own life. The show explores themes of colonization, capitalism, and the commodification of a sacred natural resource, examining how one of the world's largest industries has left its mark across generations and continents.

International Guitar Night

International Guitar Night returns for a national Canadian tour in January and February 2027. The festival, which launched on the West Coast over two decades ago, brings together acoustic guitarists performing Brazilian, Flamenco, Middle Eastern, and Gypsy jazz styles. The touring show features musicians from around the world and has a history of sold-out performances in Canadian theaters.

Shakura S'Aida is an acclaimed Americana roots-soul singer/songwriter, three-time JUNO Award nominee, and recurring actor on Schitt's Creek. Brooklyn-born, Swiss-raised, and Toronto-based, she is known for her powerful, soul-stirring voice and dynamic live performances that have captivated audiences in 31 countries. Her latest single is "Keep It Movin'," which follows her JUNO-nominated, Folk Canada Award–winning album Hold On to Love. S'Aida is also a dedicated community builder with over 40 years of experience. Through Shakura S'Aida Presents, she curates concerts and festivals, creating meaningful connections between artists and audiences across North America and Europe.

Hold On To Your Butts is a live, shot-for-shot parody of Jurassic Park performed by two actors and a Foley artist. Following critically acclaimed runs in the West End and Off-Broadway, the show is now on tour. The production combines comedy, physical theatre, and live sound design into an inventive performance. When the well in her village begins to dry up, Yassama must walk farther each day to fetch water for her family. She worries about the future of her village and whether she can save it from the drought that threatens them. With the help of an old Baobab tree and a mysterious beaded calabash, Yassama learns to understand the limits of the nature that sustains her. Blending African oral tradition, theatre, and dance, this is a timeless ecological and spiritual tale. More than a search for water, the story reveals the sacred bond between people and Mother Earth, celebrating perseverance, humility, and shared responsibility.

Family Day! – Samajam: YOU are the Show!

You are the musician. You are the creator. You are the show. This fully participatory musical experience invites the audience to actively perform throughout 90% of the show. The program combines interactive participation, musical learning, rhythmic challenges, video games, comedic sketches, and exploration of diverse songs and rhythms from around the world. Each attendee receives a Musical Bag containing three percussion instruments to play at key moments, building the collective rhythmic creation and musical progression. Everyone can participate, regardless of age, musical experience, or skill level. The show has been presented more than 1,500 times across 8 countries, with over 1 million tickets sold.
