Hamlet
A reimagining of Hamlet featuring eight actors with Down syndrome who share their desires, struggles, and questions through a bold adaptation of Shakespeare's classic. The production blends the original text with the personal stories of the performers, opening with one of literature's most profound questions: 'To be or not to be?' — here explored as a lived experience. What does it mean to be in a world that often overlooks you? In a society obsessed with productivity, beauty, and perfection, this production challenges audiences to rethink who gets to belong and what it truly means to live a meaningful life.
BPAC is collaborating with colleagues to bring this company from Peru on a national tour in Spring 2027.
