Southern Ontario Lyric Opera: Double Bill

As is always the case whenever Mascagni’s epic dramatic opera is performed it is paired up with another short opera, in this case Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari’s “Il Segreto di Susanna.” In fact this just may be the 1st time these 2 operas have ever been paired up in one operatic evening.

The lighter story and delightful accessible music of Wolf-Ferrari (1876–1948) will beautifully compliment the passionate story and powerful music of “Cavalleria Rusticana” making for a well-rounded evening out at the opera.
