A Greener Future (AGF) is a non-profit environmental organization committed to providing opportunities that bring together a community of volunteers and inspire action to create a clean, healthy environment that can be sustained for generations. The 2026 Love Your Lakes project focuses on shoreline cleanups that give volunteers the chance to help clean up beaches and parks in their own community! These events are open to the public, and a great way to get outside, meet new people, collect volunteer hours, and help reduce litter to save our lakes! These events occur at multiple locations each month, register for a Burlington event online at agreenerfuture.ca This event will be held at: 1400 Lakeshore Rd. Get ready for a morning full of music, colour, and community spirit! The Burlington Summer Music Parade on Saturday, June 20 kicks off at Drury Lane and Caroline Street at 10 a.m., and the fun rolls all the way through to downtown. Parade starts: 10 a.m. Road closures: 9:30 a.m.–noon What to expect: Marching bands, lively floats, and performers bringing the energy all along the route. Grab your spot early—some of the best viewing areas are: Caroline Street between Drury Lane and Brant Street Brant Street from Caroline Street to Baldwin Street Featuring: Our hometown stars—the Burlington Teen Tour Band, the Junior Redcoats, and the always‑entertaining Top Hat Marching Orchestra. Give back while you enjoy the show: The Burlington Teen Tour Band Boosters will be collecting non‑perishable food donations along the route in support of the Burlington Food Bank. Which includes a Juried Exhibition of Cut Garden Roses and Floral Design Staged in Rooms 3, 4,and 5 in the Royal Botanical Gardens Centre (Saturday, June 20th and Sunday, June 21st from 10:00am to 5:00pm), Short talks on rose care and culture on Saturday 1:00pm and 3:00pm Create a ‘Make and Take’ small design Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm Potted Miniature Roses will be for sale during show hours while supplies last Sale of Cut Show Blooms begins Sunday at 4:00pm Show is free with paid admission to the Royal Botanical Gardens, 4:00pm is last admission time to the RBG which closes at 5:00pm Come early and spend the day in all the gardens After a visit to the show be sure to visit the World Federation of Rose Societies Award Winning Rose Garden in Hendrie Park across the street from the RBG Center
