In this workshop, participants will learn and practice new skills, like Superman, Side Bar, Dragon Tail, Lion Roll, and Gazelle Roll. We will also focus on creating smoother entries and exits, connecting skills more naturally, improving transitions, and developing better control and fluidity throughout each sequence. Perfect for participants who are ready to expand their Aerial Hoop vocabulary and make their movement look more polished, seamless, and confident. Participant Expectations / Prerequisites Participants should have a solid foundation in Aerial Hoop and be able to safely demonstrate the following skills: - Perform pull-ups while seated in the hoop - Hold a back balance confidently without using the hands for support - Invert into a knee hang with control and ease About your instructor Tabitha : Tabitha Riccio joined MOVATI in 2022 and quickly fell in love with a brand-new program called Hoop. What began as curiosity soon became a passion, as she discovered the unique combination of strength, full-body awareness, control, and the joy of inversions that makes aerial hoop so special. Determined to learn as much as possible, Tabitha attended nearly every Hoop class she could, training across multiple MOVATI locations and with a variety of instructors—often up to five days a week. She also pursued advanced workshops outside of MOVATI, continuing to develop her skills, deepen her understanding of proper body placement, and master the control required to move confidently through space. With more than two years of experience teaching Aerial Hoop Levels 1 and 2, Tabitha brings both expertise and genuine enthusiasm to every class. Her passion is contagious, and she loves introducing others to this often-underappreciated and underrated form of fitness. 5 KM Walk from Joseph Brant Hospital to the Burlington Canal and Return. Event starts in the Northeast parking lot of Joseph Brant Hospital (adjacent to the Joesph Brant Musem and continues to Lakeshore Rd before crossing Lakeshore Rd. in front of the Hospital's Main Entrance and then proceeds along the main path in Beachway Park and then returns to the N/E Parking Lot at Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH). This is the 6th year for the Event in Support of Mental Health and Addiction Services at Joseph Brant. The Event welcome dignataries such as the MP, MPP. Mayor and others to speak on behalf of the need for better facilities and services at the Hospital. The Walk is a fundraiser and is intended to raise awareness of and to reduce stigma associated with Mental Health and Addiction.

A welcoming gathering where people living with dementia attend with a care partner for connection, conversation, and light activities. The Halton Memory Café is a welcoming social gathering for people living with dementia and their care partners to attend together. Each session offers a relaxed opportunity to connect with others, enjoy meaningful conversation, participate in light activities, and spend time in a supportive community setting. The Memory Café is not a clinical program or a formal education session. It is designed to be friendly, inclusive, and comfortable for both the person living with dementia and the care partner who supports them. The goal is simple: to create a positive space where individuals and families can feel welcomed, understood, and less alone. Registration is free. Space may be limited, and advance registration is requested so we can plan appropriately for seating, refreshments, and activities.

A resource night for Halton families on autism funding and support. Join Us for Navigating Autism Support & Care in the Halton Region! Join us for an evening focused on autism support and care options in the Halton Region. Elemenoe is hosting a free , drop-in resource night open to families in the community, whether you're already connected with us or just starting to explore your options. Elemenoe's speech-language pathologist ( SLP ) and behaviour analyst will be on hand throughout the evening, along with AccessOAP , who can answer your questions about registering for the Ontario Autism Program, reconciling your funding, and making the most of your OAP budget. Calm Guidance Psychotherapy will be there with information about their services. ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids) will also be there to share information about their free, OAP-funded programs, including workshops and caregiver cafés for newly registered families, an early intervention program for young children, and short-term support for families navigating high-risk behaviours. Sound Matters will be on hand to talk about audiology, auditory processing, and literacy support, and a few more local providers will be joining the room. This is an informal resource night, not a presentation, so come and go as it suits you and spend as much time as you'd like at each table. You're welcome to connect with any, all, or none of the providers present. There's no obligation to choose one (we're not the only ones who can help!), and no cost to attend.
