Kids Clay course

Our 6-week Winter course is designed for children ages 7 to 11 who are curious, creative, and excited to explore the world of clay. Guided by an experienced instructor, kids will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and clay techniques while creating their own unique ceramic pieces. This course offers a fun and supportive environment where children can express themselves, build confidence, and make new friends who share a love for art. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: September 19 - October 24 2026 Saturdays morning, once a week, for 1.5 hour, over 6 weeks ⏰ Time: 11:00 Am – 12:30 Pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩‍🏫 Rotating instructors: Shahrzad, Lauren, and Yvette 👥 Suitable for: Children ages 7 to 11 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What do kids make? In this course, kids will learn the basic handbuilding techniques to create both functional and none function pieces of ceramic art! The possibilities of what they can make are endless! From cups to bowls, figures or musical shakers the students will create a variety of works. All projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Please note, our kids courses are handbuilding only, for wheel courses, we ask that they are at least 12 years old. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old Tshirt. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up.

Toddler Days at Joseph Brant Museum

Toddler Days is a hands-on, interactive program for children ages 2–4, held at Joseph Brant Museum on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Each week features a different theme, including Beach Day, Transportation, Autumn is Calling, Community Helpers, Fruits & Veggies, On the Farm, Halloween, and Sports & Games. Cost is $12.00 per child (includes tax); accompanying adults are complimentary. Pre-registration is required, as capacity is limited.

Back to School Resource Fair for Autistic, Neurodivergent, and Disabled Youth Spokes Autism Services, Rising Sun Educational Advocacy, and Imagine Consultation are hosting a resource fair designed with families in mind — a practical, meaningful day to connect with community providers, ask questions, and explore support options without overwhelming information overload. Families can explore resources across school advocacy and education support, goal and future planning, recreation and inclusive community programs, mental health and family support, respite and caregiver resources, financial planning (RDSPs, RESPs, Disability Tax Credit information), accessibility tools and technology, life skills and transition planning, and neurodivergent-owned businesses and family-friendly vendors. Eco Fun with BG at the Royal Botanical Gardens!

Take a nature walk, make a seedball and join other eco-fun with BG at Royal Botanical Gardens on October 3rd and 4th, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. BurlingtonGreen will have a tent at the annual Telling Tales Children’s Literary Festival in Hendrie Park at the RBG. Here’s our schedule of activities: Daily 9:45 am – 5 pm – Drop by the BG tent to make your own native wildflower seed balls and learn how you can help protect and nurture butterflies and other pollinators. We’ll also have other all-ages eco-fun and climate action resources. Daily at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm – Join a Nature Discovery Walk with BG. During this 30 minute guided walk, you’ll discover fascinating facts about nature all around us. Get inspired to be an eco-champion for special friends like amazing Monarch Butterflies, and afterwards you can stay to make seedballs to grow wildflowers that can attract butterflies and other pollinators to your own backyard or balcony. Harvest Festival PA Day Camp

Celebrate the fall season with a day of harvest fun. Families discover how people prepared for winter long ago through historic games, autumn crafts, and cooking, inspired by life at Ireland House Museum. Camps run daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for children ages 5–12. The cost is $55 per child. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
