Speed dating for Burlington singles aged 40–50. Attendees will meet up to 15 other singles on short dates, then rate each match as a Like or Pass using a mobile app. Mutual matches result in contact information being exchanged the next day. A singles mingling event hosted by Crazy 4 Events. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet other singles in a welcoming environment, with ice-breaker activities to help everyone connect and make new friends. Appetizers are included. Burlington Book Social: Dark Romance Discussion 📚 Local women readers are invited to join a casual book discussion focused on dark romance. The group will meet to chat about this month's pick, Blood and Roses, a dark romance and BookTok favourite following Alexis, who is drawn into a dangerous underworld to save her sister, and Zeth Mayfair, the enforcer she encounters. The novel is described as fast-paced, intense, and dramatic. Attendees should review content warnings in advance, as the book contains darker themes. Stay Ready: Women's Self Defense Introductory Seminar

A technique-driven women's self-defense seminar focused on practical, real-world responses. This hands-on seminar teaches footwork to move off-line and create distance, protective reactions to incoming pressure, and grip breaks for common grabs. Attendees will practice simple strikes on pads to create an opening, then work on getting free and moving toward safety. Partner drills connect each stage into a sequence: recognize the threat, react, counter, and escape. Training is coached and controlled, with options to adjust intensity and take breaks as needed. No martial arts experience is required, and all fitness levels are welcome. Skills covered include responses to wrist grabs, close-contact situations, and creating space when someone gets too close. Wear workout clothes and bring water to class.

Festival of Trees

BPAC's Festival of Trees transforms the Family Lobby into a holiday display featuring dozens of Christmas trees decorated by local Burlington businesses. Each tree is available through silent auction. Bidding opens November 25. All proceeds support BPAC's Community Access Programs. Visitors are invited to browse, place bids, and take home a decorated tree in time for the holidays.
