Movies by the Lake: Stand by Me
Movies by the Lake 2026 🎬 returns for its 5th season of outdoor cinema at Spencer Smith Park, set up parallel to the gazebo near the Waterfront Hotel at the eastern end of the park. Each movie night transforms the waterfront into an open-air theatre. Arrive early to enjoy the lakeside atmosphere, catch sunset views, and connect with neighbours before the film begins at dusk. No tickets or assigned seating required. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks. The event is all-ages and alcohol-free. Attendees are asked to respect fellow audience members during the show. Security staff are present if assistance is needed. Accessible seating, captioning, and other accessibility accommodations are available — contact the organizers to learn more. Movies start at dusk. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be cancelled; all cancellations are posted to @burlingtondowntownbia on Instagram and Facebook.
