Burlington Latin Festival Returns to Central Park in August

Central Park turns into a two-day celebration of Latin American music, food, and dance next month. The Burlington Latin Festival returns August 22 and 23, and admission is free both days. Organizers say this year is bigger than the last.

Last year drew more than 70 food vendors and businesses, with over 20 performers, three of them international, across 11 hours of the weekend. This year the lineup promises more than 37 performances, food from 20-plus vendors cooking dishes from across Latin America, an arts and crafts market, and a kids and family zone.

One thing worth clearing up: this is the second Latin festival in Burlington this summer, and the two are not related. The Burlington Latino Fest, now in its third year, ran at Ireland Park in the Headon area back in June. The Latin Festival is a separate event by a different group, over at Central Park on New Street. Both are free, and both center on live music, dancing, and food.
