Four Harvard Planes Will Fly Over Burlington's Cenotaph on Remembrance Day

Anyone standing at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day should listen for engines before the service starts. The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is flying over downtown Burlington on Wednesday, November 11, and the planes are expected over the Cenotaph at Veteran's Square at about 10:45 a.m., roughly 15 minutes ahead of the 11 a.m. service.

Four Harvards will take off for the flyby, flown in a Missing Man formation. The formation leaves a gap where one aircraft should be, as a tribute to those who died in aerial combat.

The association flies and maintains the yellow wartime trainers itself, and its aircraft are listed on the association's website.

The service at the Cenotaph starts at 11 a.m., so the planes come over while people are still gathering. Look up at quarter to eleven.
