Vintage Streetcar Rides Up Guelph Line, Weekends Until November 1

Up Guelph Line in Milton, an afternoon can be spent riding restored streetcars through the trees. The Halton County Radial Railway at 13629 Guelph Line is open weekends until November 1, and admission covers unlimited rides along two kilometres of track, plus the grounds, the display barns, the historic Rockwood Station and the gift shop.

Through September and October the museum runs Saturdays, Sundays and Thanksgiving Day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first ride leaves at 11 a.m. and the last one goes 30 minutes before closing. Ticket sales stop at 3:45 p.m., and a ticket bought after that is not a guaranteed ride, so the fall advice from the museum is to buy online before you drive out.

Admission is $26 for adults, $24 for seniors 65 and over, $20 for youth 10 to 17 and $14 for children 4 to 9. Under 4 is free, so is over 90, and a family pass covering two adults and two children is $75. Prices do not include HST. Access 2 cards are accepted, with the cardholder paying the regular rate and the caregiver getting in free.

The museum runs rain or shine and does not give refunds, which is worth knowing before a grey Saturday. Three weekends are left in the season.

After November 1

The museum closes for the season and comes back for Christmas on the Rails on December 5, 6, 12 and 13. Those dates are listed on the railway's events page.
