Aldershot Village Tree Lighting Returns to Sun Country Plaza on November 21

The tree at Sun Country Plaza goes on at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, and the afternoon leading up to the switch is the real draw. The Aldershot Village Tree Lighting fills the plaza at 355 Plains Road East with an outdoor vendor market, live musicians and local choirs, plus coffee and hot chocolate for everyone standing around outside in late November.

The whole thing runs from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Santa Claus is part of the afternoon too, which gives the kids a reason to turn up early rather than at six on the dot.

Organizers are also asking visitors to bring non-perishable food donations for the Burlington Food Bank, so there is room in the trip for a grocery stop on the way.

Aldershot's shops run along Plains Road on either side of the plaza, which makes the market half of the afternoon easy to stretch out. Put November 21 in the calendar and bring a bag of canned goods!
