Brant Hills Library Branch Reopens After Roof and HVAC Work
The Brant Hills library branch is open again after an extended closure for construction at the community centre. The roof and the HVAC system were both replaced, and almost none of that work shows from inside the branch, although the new system should hold a steadier temperature through the building.
The visible change is in the children's area. The library used the closure to add a magnetic sensory wall and a Touch2Play digital game station, both built for hands-on play rather than quiet browsing.
"We're so excited to welcome back the Brant Hills community and are extremely grateful for their patience during the closure," said James Dekens, manager of neighbourhood branches at Burlington Public Library.
The branch marked the reopening with a weekend of programs on October 17 and 18, including a scavenger hunt and a candy counting contest for kids, Brant Hills Bingo, free stickers, and the Midnight Borrowers Puzzle Mystery, an escape room style challenge for adults and older teens. Current hours for Brant Hills and every other branch sit on the library's locations and hours page.
