Food for Feedback Returns to Central Park on September 12
Burlington's sixth annual Food for Feedback lands at Central Park on Saturday, September 12, running from noon to 3 p.m. The arrangement is simple: share what you think about city projects, then eat. Four food trucks will be serving free meals while supplies last.
City staff will run 20 project booths across the park to answer questions and collect input. This year's topics cover Burlington Transit, the 2026 municipal election, stormwater management, the 2027 budget, transportation and the Official Plan.
The input gets written up afterward. Lisa Kearns, deputy mayor of community engagement and partnerships, said participating projects will give council a report showing how community feedback was considered and worked into planning and decisions.
Mayor Marianne Meed Ward called the event the city's most popular way of gathering resident input and encouraged people to bring family and neighbours along. Kids have their own space at the Kidz Zone while parents work through the booths.
If you go
Central Park is at 2299 New St. The event is free and drop-in, so no registration is needed. If it rains, everything moves to the Burlington Seniors' Centre.
