Downtown Burlington's New Summer Music Series Runs Saturdays

Downtown Burlington has a new summer series built around a different local musician every week. The Downtown Summer Music Series runs Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Elgin Promenade through July and August. There is no ticket and no admission, so you can walk up while you are already out shopping or grabbing lunch.

The format is a pop-up, not a festival: one act, three hours, set up among the shops and patios. The Burlington Downtown Business Association pairs something different with the music each week too, from free face painting to caricature artists to a typewriter poet.

Emma Whale opened the series on July 11, with Ariana Fig playing July 25, Luiz Grante on August 1, Natalie Reis on August 8, Jesse Adams on August 15, and Nolan Gibson on August 22.

It is a low-key way to add some music to a downtown Saturday, and it runs right through the end of summer.
