Two Weeks of Free Arts Events Across Burlington for Culture Days

Burlington's Culture Days run September 18 to October 4, and every event on the schedule is free. Culture Days is a national non-profit built around hands-on activities that put people in the room with artists, historians and curators rather than just in front of the finished work.

Five organizations anchor the local program: the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Burlington Public Library, Museums of Burlington and Discover Burlington. The gallery opens its studios for tours and artist talks, and the library is running ten free programs, both from September 20 to October 3.

Saturday, September 26 is the busiest day of the two weeks. BPAC opens its building for WANDER, an afternoon of performances staged in corners of the place audiences do not normally get to see, and Ireland House Museum hosts its Heritage Fibre Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Running the whole stretch is Discover Burlington's Culture Crawl, a free pass you use to build your own route through the city's arts and heritage spots. Check in as you go, collect points, and redeem them for local swag.
