Discover Burlington Launches A Free Culture Crawl With 15 Stops

Fifteen cultural spots around Burlington are now stops on a free self-guided tour. Discover Burlington has launched the Culture Crawl for Ontario Culture Days, a province-wide three week celebration of Canadian arts and culture, and it runs until Sunday, Oct. 4.

It works off a free mobile pass you download to your phone. Check in at each place you visit and the pass keeps count. Prizes come in three tiers depending on how many stops you reach, and passes are turned in at the Discover Burlington Visitor Centre at 414 Locust St.

The stops include the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Joseph Brant Museum, the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, plus public art like the Birds of the World mural at Tansley Woods Community Centre.

One thing to know before you build a day around it: the pass is free, but it does not cover admission at venues that charge for it. Sign up online and start checking in.
