Brant Hills Library Stays Closed Until at Least October 1

The Brant Hills branch of the Burlington Public Library will stay shut until at least October 1. The library shared the update on Wednesday, saying the HVAC and roof replacement work at the attached community centre is still going and needs more time.

That pushes the reopening back by more than two weeks. The branch had been due to reopen on September 13, after closing in early August so crews could finish structural reinforcement before the new heating and cooling system went on the roof. It was the branch's second closure of the summer.

Anyone holding books from Brant Hills does not need to do anything. Items borrowed before the closure now have a due date of October 2.

The nearest open branches in the meantime are Tansley Woods at 1996 Itabashi Way and Alton at 3040 Tim Dobbie Drive, and both take returns while the Brant Hills book drop is closed.
