Appleby Line Closes to Cars for the Street Festival This Sunday
Appleby Line closes to cars between New Street and Fairview this Sunday, and for four hours you can walk straight down the middle of it.
The Appleby Line Street Festival runs 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, with more than 150 vendors setting up along the closed stretch. Live music plays through the afternoon, there is a kids zone, and food comes from the restaurants on that block plus a lineup of food trucks and vendors.
A dino run called Roar to the Start goes ahead of the festival earlier in the day.
The closure
Appleby Line is shut between New Street and Fairview Street for the afternoon. The festival itself runs from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 20.
The organizers are already taking vendor, volunteer, busker and sponsor signups for the 2027 festival on their website.
