Burlington's 2026 Municipal Election Field Is Taking Shape

Burlington goes to the polls on Monday, October 26, and the ballot is filling in. As of this week, three people had registered to run for mayor and 18 for the six council seats, and every ward has had at least two candidates since early June.

The city runs a dedicated election site at myvote.burlington.ca where the full list lives. New candidates are posted there within about 24 hours of registering, so it is the fastest place to see who is in the race.

Voters have a few ways to cast a ballot this year, including online or in person at an advance poll or on election day. The site will also confirm whether you are on the voters list and tell you which ward you are in.

Nominations remain open, so the field can still grow before the campaign heats up over the fall.
