BPL Book Club
A monthly book club where readers meet, mingle, and discuss thoughtfully selected titles ranging from classics to new releases. Each gathering begins with time to connect with fellow book lovers, followed by a guided discussion led by library staff.
Attendees are welcome to join even if they haven't finished the month's selection — enthusiasm for reading is what matters.
This month's title is *One Good Thing* by Georgia Hunter. Set in 1940s Italy, the novel follows best friends Lili and Esti as Mussolini's Racial Laws and the Nazi invasion upend their lives. When Esti is gravely injured, Lili must flee across war-torn Italy with Esti's young son, risking everything to keep him safe and honour her friend's final wish.
Accessibility: Attendees needing an accessibility accommodation should register early so arrangements can be confirmed a few days before the program.
