Can We Be Wrong? The Science of How We Learn and Why We Change Our Minds

Why do we believe what we believe? Why is it so difficult to admit when we're wrong? And what does it really take to change our minds?

The Curious Cup is hosting an evening exploring the science behind human learning, beliefs, and the psychology of changing our minds. Drawing on research in cognitive and developmental psychology, Professor Samuel Ronfard will examine how people form beliefs, evaluate information, learn from others, and navigate ideas that challenge their assumptions. From everyday disagreements to deeply held convictions, the discussion will explore why being wrong is an essential part of learning and growth.

The event takes place in a relaxed bar atmosphere, with drinks available. Attendees are invited to come curious and leave questioning.
