ART & EspaΓ±ol: Alpaca in Acrylic & Ink Β· Bilingual Art Class, Burlington

Draw a cute, colourful alpaca 🎨 in this relaxed, bilingual art session. No experience needed.

Attendees will outline their alpaca, bring it to life with cheerful colours, and add simple festive patterns using acrylic markers, ink, and gel pens. Everything is guided step by step in both English and Spanish, so participants can follow in whichever language feels most comfortable or use the session to practise another language.

Alpacas are deeply important in Andean communities and have been part of daily life there for thousands of years. On festive occasions, they're decorated with colourful tassels and ribbons. The session will share this cultural story and the visual traditions of the Americas connected to this motif.

This is a lighter, easy-going class focused on enjoying the creative process. No pressure for perfection β€” just time to slow down, chat, and create. Participants will take home their finished artwork and perhaps a few new Spanish words.

Facilitated by Alana Lumi, a Latin American illustrator. Coffee, tea, and treats are available from Williams Fresh Cafe.

This is a relaxed, alcohol-free space designed for focus and calm. Photos and video may be taken during the event for Making Colour's promotional use. Let the organizers know upon arrival if you'd prefer not to appear in photos, or change your mind at any time.

Presented by Making Colour Studios Β· ART & EspaΓ±ol.
