People Photography Workshop - Burlington

Learn Photography Canada is hosting a People Photography Workshop at Royal Botanical Gardens Canada in Burlington. This 4-hour, in-person workshop is open to all ages and focuses on essential people photography skills through hands-on coaching from expert instructors.

Participants will work in a small group to develop techniques in communication and posing, lighting, backgrounds, and equipment and lens selection. The workshop covers how to build rapport with subjects, relax and direct people naturally, and compose flattering portraits of individuals, couples, and small groups. Attendees practice with peer feedback and instructor guidance throughout the day.

The agenda includes a welcome and orientation, gear check with recommended settings and accessories, communication techniques for portraiture, and posing essentials with tips on angles, posture, and body language.
