Geeky Book Club: October Meeting - Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher

Geeky Book Club discusses Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher this month.

Geeky Book Club is a monthly gathering of readers who discuss fantasy and science fiction novels. The group is designed for readers who want substantive conversation about the books themselves — guided by provided discussion questions, with space for attendees to share their own thoughts and interpretations. Members vote on future selections, alternating between fantasy and sci-fi each month.

This month's selection, Wolf Worm, is a gothic novel set in 1899. Sonia Wilson, a scientific illustrator seeking work, accepts a position at a North Carolina manor house illustrating the insect collection of the reclusive Dr. Halder. As strange occurrences unfold — unusual animal behavior, local whispers about "blood thiefs," and the mysterious disappearance of Halder's wife — Sonia discovers that his entomological research has led him into dark territory involving parasitic maggots and dangerous experiments.

New members are welcome. First-time attendees will receive voting links for future book selections after their first meeting.
