Theatre Burlington is rolling out its annual family show, and this year’s pick is a playful, homegrown take on Pinocchio. Local director Tyler Collins leans into simple sets and lively music, letting kids use their imaginations while a cast of actors and musicians brings the carnival setting to life.

The one-hour show runs Nov. 29 to Dec. 14, with two performances each afternoon. Tickets are $15, and little ones are welcome to grab a spot on the floor up front. It’s a cozy way to ease into the season with something lighthearted and local.

Ireland Park’s two closed pedestrian bridges are slowly moving toward reopening, though on different timelines. The Folkway Drive bridge ran into unexpected shale and supply delays, pushing completion to late December. Crews should be back at it soon, and the path through that part of the park will feel a lot more connected once it’s done.

The second bridge, behind St. Timothy’s School, remains shut after being deemed unsafe this summer. Prospect Street will close between Brant and Pearson from Nov. 24 to Dec. 19 as crews upgrade the sanitary sewer and watermain. It’ll be a bit of a slowdown for anyone who uses that stretch, but the work should help keep things running smoothly for years to come.
