A New Option for Jeans👖

Inside of a different Warehouse One store via their Instagram
A new place to shop for jeans is coming to Burlington, as Warehouse One prepares to open at Burlington Centre.
Known as the “Canadian Jean Store” since 1977, the retailer is bringing its casual styles and everyday denim picks to a spot in the mall’s main hallway, between Shoppers Drug Mart and Sport Chek.
The new store is set to open April 10, landing just as denim trends return for spring and summer. It adds another familiar Canadian name to the Centre’s lineup, giving local shoppers one more easy stop for wardrobe staples.
Golf Season Tees Off ⛳️
Golf season is right around the corner, and we are already seeing signs.
At Tyandaga Golf Course, 2026 memberships sold out in just 70 minutes, continuing last year’s surge in demand. The city-run course, which typically opens mid-April, is also putting the finishing touches on a new two-kilometre trail connecting the property to Bruce Trail, adding another reason for locals to spend time outdoors this spring.
And in case you were getting tired of indoor simulators, Within Range Driving Range officially opens today, offering 27 TopTracer bays that track swing speed and ball flight, plus virtual course play.
Time to clean those clubs and stock your bag!
Budapest Bakeshop Update 🥐
Last month, we shared the news that Budapest Bakeshop was planning a downtown Burlington location, and now new details are starting to take shape.
The specialty bakery, known for its chimney cakes, is targeting a mid-summer opening at 447 Brant St.. The shop will be the brand’s first franchise, led by local operators with strong ties to the Burlington community.
The concept offers a unique take on a 300-year-old Hungarian recipe, with hand-rolled, rotisserie-baked pastries served sweet or savoury, alongside a full coffee program and indoor seating.
With permits expected soon and construction potentially beginning in April, the project is steadily moving forward. Downtown Burlington’s food scene may soon have a standout new addition.

Living Well Expo Returns 📍
Burlington seniors will have a one-stop shop for advice and support when the Living Well Expo returns April 8 at the Art Gallery of Burlington.
Running 11am-3pm, the free event led by Marion Goard brings together more than 30 local exhibitors, offering guidance on everything from health and housing to financial planning and community programs.
Attendees can also take part in educational sessions on home care options and planning for long-term support, along with presentations on evaluating gold and silver. With trusted professionals, local services, and a welcoming setup all under one roof, it’s a practical and well-loved event for navigating the next stage of life.
Pet Spotlight: Meet Jacob! 🐈⬛
Jacob is a gentle, quiet soul who just needs a little time to shine. At two and a half years old, he often appears shy at the shelter, watching the world from a cozy corner. But in a calm, loving foster home, Jacob’s true personality emerges.
He is sweet, affectionate, and loves gentle pets, leaning in with soft purrs. Jacob isn’t looking for a busy household, just a peaceful space and someone patient enough to let trust grow.
Once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal and loving companion, ready to fill his forever home with warmth, comfort, and quiet moments of love.
