Renovations That Actually Add Value

If you’re renovating to sell, be strategic with where you invest.

First Impressions: Buyers form opinions within minutes. Fresh paint, updated lighting, a new front door, and clean landscaping can quickly elevate perceived value without major cost.

Kitchen Updates: Minor improvements like cabinet refacing, quartz counters, and modern lighting often deliver the strongest return. In most homes, the kitchen drives buyer emotion and overall impact.

Basement Finishing: Functional living space appeals to families, especially when ceiling height, lighting, and layout feel intentional and cohesive.

Landscaping: Strong curb appeal increases showing activity and builds buyer confidence.

What Doesn’t Add Value: Overly customized finishes, luxury upgrades in entry-level areas, and unpermitted DIY work.

Before you spend $80,000 on a renovation, it’s worth knowing what buyers in your neighbourhood actually pay for.

Some incredible pictures are being shared on reddit and other social media platforms of Bald eagles spotted across various spots across the Headon Forest area.

After Canada’s heartbreaking overtime loss to the United States in this Years Olympic Gold Medal Game, it does feel like the timing could have been a bit better…

Nevertheless, it’s very cool to see these incredible animals right here in our backyard.

🏌️ City Offers $15M For Millcroft

The City of Burlington offered $15 million to purchase the Millcroft Golf Club, according to a now deleted post from Mayor Marianne Meed Ward and Councillor Angelo Bentivegna. The offer was nearly three times what the land sold for in 2020, but ARGO Development declined.

City officials say they will keep pushing to preserve the property, potentially through a provincial Ministers Zoning Order. ARGO plans include 90 detached homes and a 130 unit apartment building, keeping the future of Millcroft firmly in the spotlight.
