Want to learn pickleball or level up fast?
Group clinics are one of the best ways to improve. You’ll get structured coaching, real match-play skills, and better value than private lessons, with options available for every skill level.
These are our March Clinics:
4 Weeks
Intro to Pickleball (Beginners): Learn the fundamentals to get started with confidence.
Advanced Beginner (Lvl 2.5-3.0): Build confidence with key skills in game play.
Intermediate (Lvl 3.0–3.5): Sharpen consistency, shot placement, and point strategy for stronger competitive play.
Advanced (Lvl 3.5+): Focus on advanced skills — topspin drives, drops, slices, lobs, resets, and speed-ups
Single Session
Road to 4.0 (Lvl 3.0 and 3.5): Fast-paced, one-hour drill session of advanced skills to help players progress toward 4.0 play.
Dinking with Purpose: Improve control and strategic shot selection at the non-volley line through high-repetition, game-relevant drills.
No matter where you currently stand, you’ll train with one of Canada’s strongest coaching teams including a pro from the Canadian National Pickleball League, Kyle Hermetz. Each clinic is designed to help you progress quickly and confidently to the next level.

🍁 Maple Syrup Festival Coming to Town
Burlington is getting a new reason to head outside next month. The Maple Syrup Festival by Street Eats Market is setting up at 1016 Waterdown Road for two weekends, March 21-22 and March 28-29. Admission is free and so is parking. The focus is simple. Maple everything.
There will be maple taffy poured on snow, pancake stations, maple desserts and drinks, along with vendors selling syrup and handmade goods. Families can also expect face painting, crafts, games and fire pits for roasting marshmallows. It is a fun way to celebrate the season close to home.
🏃♂️ Chilly Half Marathon Marks 30 Years
Nearly 4,000 runners are expected in downtown Burlington on Sunday, March 1, as the Chilly Half Marathon celebrates its 30th anniversary. Run by VR Pro Inc., the race begins outside City Hall on Brant Street, with participants looping through the downtown core and along the Lake Ontario waterfront before returning to the finish line. Opening ceremonies start at 9:35 a.m., with the race set for 10:05 a.m.
Over three decades, the event has raised more than $400,000 for charities including Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and Hamilton Food Share. What started as a local early-season run has grown into one of Canada’s best-known early season races, drawing elite athletes and weekend runners alike.
📰 More News

🚒 New Fire Trucks Welcomed the Old Way
Two new fire trucks are now in service in Burlington, and they arrived with a tradition that goes back more than a century. Crews at Stations 3 and 7 marked the occasion with a push-in ceremony, physically guiding the trucks into the bay by hand. The ritual dates to the late 1800s, when firefighters had to push horse-drawn engines back into the station after each call.
The new Dependable/Spartan pumpers were built in Ontario and were part of the city’s 2026 fleet budget. They feature a refreshed crest with the City of Burlington logo, along with updated equipment to serve the community for years to come.
🎭 Drury Lane Marks 45 Years
Drury Lane Theatre is celebrating 45 years of its signature Music Hall tradition with a new production, Everything Old is New Again. The two-hour show keeps things moving with continuous song and dance, skipping traditional dialogue in favour of back-to-back musical numbers. Aside from a few comedic sketches, transitions are handled by chairman Michael Belton, who guides the audience between sets.
The anniversary performance blends Broadway favourites, pop hits from different decades and even nods to Glee. With frequent costume changes and a large ensemble cast, the energy stays high throughout. It’s a format that has defined Drury Lane for decades and still fills the theatre seats today.
