Burlington Wants Your Opinion on Downtown Parking

If you have circled the downtown garage looking for one of the spots the sign promised, the City of Burlington would like to hear about it. The city has launched a survey asking residents what works and what does not when it comes to finding and paying for parking downtown.

The timing is practical. Burlington's parking pay stations and directional signs are due to be replaced, and the city is gathering opinions before deciding what goes in. That covers the basics people complain about most: whether signs actually lead you to an open space, and whether paying means coins, an app, or something else.

Feedback also feeds the Downtown Parking Plan, which the city uses to work out future parking needs and keep the system financially sustainable. Parking supervisor Stephen Camm is the staff lead collecting the responses.
