Aldershot Breakfast Food Drive Runs Every Wednesday in October

A hot breakfast before school is the point of a food drive running every Wednesday this month at St. Matthew's on-the-Plains Anglican Church on Plains Road East.

The collection is drive-through, so donations can be handed over without leaving the car, and it runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday in support of the Burlington Food Bank.

Organizer Partnering Aldershot is after breakfast foods in particular: oatmeal, Red River Cereal, Cream of Wheat, oatmeal with nuts, and pancake mixes. "A nourishing, hot breakfast is the way every kid should start their day," the group said.

The church is at 126 Plains Rd. E. Four Wednesdays are left in October, starting this week.
