Movies by the Lake

Movies by the Lake 2026 returns for its 5th season of outdoor cinema at Spencer Smith Park. This free, all-ages event transforms the waterfront into an open-air theatre with movies, sunsets, and community gatherings.

Each evening, guests are invited to arrive by 7:00 PM to enjoy the lakeside atmosphere, catch up with neighbours, and watch the sunset before the film begins at dusk. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks. No tickets or assigned seating required.

The screening area is set up parallel to the gazebo at the eastern end of the park, near the Waterfront Hotel.

The event is alcohol-free and weather-dependent. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be cancelled; updates are posted to @burlingtondowntownbia on Instagram and Facebook.
