Movies by the Lake

Movies by the Lake 2026 returns for its 5th season of outdoor cinema at Spencer Smith Park. This free, all-ages event transforms the waterfront into an open-air theatre, with movies starting at dusk. Organizers recommend arriving by 7:00 PM to settle in before showtime.

Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks to enjoy. The screening area is set up parallel to the gazebo near the eastern end of the park, close to the Waterfront Hotel. No tickets or assigned seating required — guests choose their own spot.

The 2026 lineup includes Bend it Like Beckham (July 7, PG-13, 1 hr 52 min), Footloose (July 14, PG-13, 1 hr 47 min), Dumb & Dumber (July 21, PG-13, 1 hr 47 min), Ocean's 11 (July 28, PG-13, 1 hr 56 min), Stand by Me (August 4, R, 1 hr 29 min), A League of Their Own (August 11, PG, 2 hrs 8 min), and Big (August 18, PG, 1 hr 44 min). Each film is sponsored by a local business.

Movies by the Lake is alcohol-free. Guests are asked to respect fellow audience members during the show. Security staff are present for assistance. For accessibility questions — including accessible seating and captioning — contact the organizers.
