October Ancaster (Burlington) West Coast Swing Dance

Simply Ballroom Burlington is launching a new Beginner West Coast Swing program in 2026. No experience or partner is needed—the class welcomes dancers brand new to the style, those transitioning from other dance forms, and anyone wanting to learn the opposite role or refresh their basics.

The evening runs from 7:00 PM to midnight. The Beginner Groove Session (7:00–8:00 PM) teaches essential moves and rhythms in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The Technique Deep Dive (8:00–8:30 PM) is open to all levels and explores one key element each month—such as connection, timing, walks, triples, or styling. Social dancing follows from 8:30 PM to midnight.

Joanna Swanson teaches the lessons. Beginners should arrive by 6:45 PM to catch the start of the class.

Admission is $15 and includes both lessons. The studio is located at 3323 Mainway, Burlington, in the building on the left side of the parking area, about two-thirds of the way along.

2026 dance dates: January 10, February 28, March 14, April 25, May 9, June 6, August 8, September 12, October 3, November 14, December 5. Dates are subject to change.
