October Ancaster (Burlington) West Coast Swing Dance

Simply Ballroom Burlington offers a new Beginner West Coast Swing lesson series for 2026.

The lesson runs 7:00–8:00 PM and covers essential West Coast Swing moves and rhythms. No experience or partner is required. The session is designed for first-timers, dancers transitioning from other styles, those learning the opposite role, or anyone refreshing basics.

Following the beginner lesson, a Technique Deep Dive runs 8:00–8:30 PM, open to all levels. Each month focuses on one key element—such as connection, timing, walks, triples, or styling. Social dancing continues from 8:30 PM to midnight.

Beginners should arrive by 6:45 PM to catch the start of the lesson. Joanna Swanson teaches both sessions.

Admission is $15 and includes both lessons.

Venue: Simply Ballroom Burlington, 3323 Mainway, Burlington, Ontario. The studio is located in the building on the left side of the parking area, approximately two-thirds of the way along.

Directions from the GTA and areas east: West on the Gardiner/QEW to Walkers Line, north on Walkers Line to Mainway, then west on Mainway approximately 1 km to 3323 Mainway (right side).

Directions from London, Waterloo, and areas west: Highway 401 eastbound to Highway 6 south, south on 6 to the 403, east on 403 to Guelph Line, north on Guelph Line to Mainway, then east on Mainway approximately 1.2 km to 3323 Mainway (left side).

2026 dance dates: January 10, February 28, March 14, April 25, May 9, June 6, August 8, September 12, October 3, November 14, December 5. Dates are subject to change.
