Summer Camp Week 6 - August 10th - 14th / 2026
Centre Stage Theatre School offers weekly summer camp programs throughout the summer. Campers explore acting, singing, and dancing through techniques including stage movement, characterization, improvisation, vocal work, theatre dance, theatre games, storytelling, and warm-up activities. Students also create props, scenery, and costumes, and are grouped by age wherever possible.
Each week concludes with a performance in the Centre Stage Studio Theatre for parents and guardians (subject to COVID-19 guidelines and requirements).
The program develops acting skills while building self-confidence, creative expression, concentration, self-esteem, public speaking, and group cooperation in a welcoming, supportive, and challenging environment. Campers make new friends, learn new skills, and participate fully in a variety of activities designed to keep everyone engaged.
Founded on arts educator Helen Zdriluk's extensive experience and a strong belief in the value of theatre and music theatre education, the program nurtures imagination, develops theatre skills, and boosts self-esteem. The philosophy underlying the curriculum is that theatre skills mirror life skills, making them valuable in academic, social, and personal contexts.
