Firefly Celebration - Live Music, campfire and firefly walk

Celebrate the start of firefly season with live music, a campfire, and a guided firefly walk. Summer Solstice marks the mating season for fireflies, which inhabit natural areas in Burlington for several weeks. The event aims to celebrate their annual mating cycle and support local habitat health.

The evening features live music from Rudy Judy and the Four Birds, unlimited marshmallows around the campfire, and a guided firefly walk. The walk begins after 9:30 PM when darkness is sufficient to observe firefly activity.

The firefly trail is uneven, hilly, and unlit to protect the fireflies. The walk is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Those with accessibility concerns should email info@bluedotacres.ca to discuss possible accommodations.

This is an outdoor event. In case of heavy rain, refunds will be offered.

The produce stand will be open during the event.
