Bhakti Yoga & Kirtan with Shell & Anton in Burlington!
Bhakti Yoga & Kirtan with Shell & Anton This event is designed to introduce participants to the essence of living and breathing Bhakti Yoga - the path of faith, trust and love. The first portion of the event will include an accessible Introduction to Bhakti Yoga.
Through discussion, storytelling, and reflection, we will explore how Bhakti can be (and already is) woven into daily life, making it accessible to anyone, regardless of background, lifestyle or abilities.
The second portion of the event will be a live musical Kirtan, which is a simple, joyful form of group meditation that blends live music - harmonium and percussion - with call-and-response Mantra chanting.
Shell & Anton will slowly and carefully explain the Mantras at a relaxed pace helping you understand pronunciation. They will share short stories and clear explanations so you can understand the meaning and intention behind what you’re chanting.
You’re always welcome to join in, listen quietly, dance, or simply soak in the atmosphere. You don’t need any singing experience, just a willingness to listen, repeat, and be part of the shared sound. There’s no pressure to perform. We repeat the Mantras to express, not to impress.
Whether you’re completely new to Bhakti Yoga or Kirtan, or you are returning to a beloved practice, this is a space to unwind, connect, and experience the calming, uplifting power of chanting together. Come as you are - your voice and your presence are enough.
