September Ancaster (Burlington) West Coast Swing Dance

Simply Ballroom Burlington is launching a new Beginner West Coast Swing program in 2026. No experience or partner is needed—the class welcomes dancers brand new to the style, those transitioning from other dance forms, those learning the opposite role, or anyone refreshing their basics.

The evening runs from 7:00 to 8:00 PM for the beginner lesson, covering essential moves and rhythms. Beginners should arrive by 6:45 PM to catch the start. From 8:00 to 8:30 PM, a Technique Deep Dive session (open to all levels) explores one key element each month—connection, timing, walks, triples, or styling. Social dancing follows from 8:30 PM to midnight.

Joanna Swanson teaches both lessons. Admission is $15 and includes both the beginner lesson and technique session.

The studio is located at 3323 Mainway, Burlington, in the building on the left side of the parking area, about two-thirds of the way along.

From the GTA and areas east: Take the Gardiner/QEW west to Walkers Line, then north to Mainway, then west approximately 1 kilometre to 3323 Mainway (on the right).

From London, Waterloo, and areas west: Take Highway 401 east to Highway 6 south, then the 403 east to Guelph Line, then north to Mainway, then east approximately 1.2 kilometres to 3323 Mainway (on the left).
