Firefly Celebration - Live Music, campfire and firefly walk

Firefly Celebration - Live Music, campfire and firefly walk

Celebrate the start of firefly season with live music, a campfire, and a guided firefly walk. Summer Solstice marks the mating season for fireflies, which inhabit natural areas in Burlington for several weeks. The event aims to celebrate their annual cycle and support habitat conservation.

Rudy Judy and the Four Birds will perform live music. Attendees can enjoy unlimited marshmallows around the campfire.

The firefly walk begins after 9:30 PM, when darkness is sufficient to observe firefly activity. The trail is uneven, hilly, and unlit to protect the fireflies. The walk is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Those with accessibility concerns are encouraged to email info@bluedotacres.ca to discuss possible accommodations.

This is an outdoor event. In case of rain, refunds or transfers to another firefly event will be offered, subject to availability.

The on-site produce stand will be open. All ages welcome.
