Radiant Reflections
Reported
Join visual artist Vivian Rosas and the City of Burlington’s Public Art program for a hands-on drop-in all ages craft workshop where you’ll create your own light-catching DIY transparency art using coloured markers and tissue paper on a transparent base.
We’ll explore colour theory, play with light and shadow, and talk composition as you design a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the beauty of stained-glass windows. No experience needed, just bring your creativity!
Some designs may even be selected by the artist to be incorporated into her permanent public art installation on the Alton Community Centre’s front glass railing this fall. Your art could become part of our community space! Vivian Rosas is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary illustrator, dancer, and public artist.
As a queer Mestize/Latine artist, her background informs her work, often exploring themes of empowerment and diversity, through bold, stylized imagery. Movement, play, and dance thread through much of her work, expressing a hopeful vision of a more just and vibrant future.
